Last weekend I was able to meet up with Jasmine (whose senior portraits I did earlier in the summer) and her entire family for a mini family fall photo shoot at the ever-pretty Maywood Environmental Park. Her mom wanted to capture some images of all her four children together before her oldest, Branson, left for the Marines later this month. She was beautiful as always and her children were a joy to work with. It was also fun to hear how Jasmine’s last year of high school was going (she’s rocking it, btw!). I love shooting families when the love for each other is so apparent, as it was with this family!
I absolutely loved this family’s color palate they chose for outfits – denim, burgundy and ivory. You’ll notice a variety of color, pattern, texture and layers in their outfit choices, as well as neutral footwear choices. This goes a long way to creating visually interesting images of a timeless nature – one’s you’d want displayed on your walls for years to come. This is why I strongly encourage my clients to carefully select their wardrobe pieces for a shoot!
Due to her children’s schedules, we couldn’t shoot at my favorite time of day (early evenings) but we still had some nice light to work with despite it being mid-day. Here are some of our captures from the session:
